01:46 pm - Coolest Game in Town
So whats the coolest game in town? Well a couple of nights ago it ws igloo poker.

What is igloo poker you ask?

Well its poker in an igloo of course.

This begs for a picture ot properly describe. I will attempt to overwhelm all previous years posting records on my part and post twice in the same year=) When I get a picture.

On an unrelated note. It seems I have finally convinced the group I regualrly play DND with to finally try somethig different so I will be runnign a whitewolf game to broaden their horizons.

I am open to suggestions for a theme for a starter game. Two of the guys have done some small amount of whitewolf in the past but for the most part the group is completely new at it. I am thinking that almost anything would be worlds better. I want simple and consistent as I don't need ot assuage jaded gamers with wowness.

But any suggestions from more experienced GMs would be extrememly welcome.

I am debatign whethe rto run a Vamp or Mage chronicle. I like both. And MAge is prolly my favourite to be a player in but I am suspecting that Vamp may be easier to run. No slight meant to any of the wonderful Vamp Gms I have had, just it seems it might be simpler.

I am excited to be able to bring a new group to the game. Less preconceived notions to deal with. I am just overwhelmed with possibilities right now and without honing it to a very sharp focus and raison d'etre for the fledgling group I am afraid of it not gelling.

thanks

12:22 pm - July 1 BBQ
Hello All,

July 1 come one come all to a BBQ. its like a July 4th BBQ only with time to clean up afterwards.

Also this way hopefully even with late notice some folks will make it.

Bill Brown has been kind enough to offer his house in berlin as location. it very easy to get to and quite nice.

I will send out directions and more details to the normal party invite list hopeuflly tonite. just figured I would give a heads up.

RSVPish is appreciated so logistics can be worked otu accordingly.

Also of course bring whoever you like.

I will be providing some food and drink type items. This will be the debut of Mike and I's concept dinner "Cowboy Sushi". Which will be very good I swear. However I am asking others to bring a dish potluck style. Sort of hedge the bets so to speak.

It should commence around 3 and go till whenever.

Hope to see y'all there.

03:03 pm - Fresh Air and Exercise =)
So anyone looking for some fresh air and a lttle light exercise before the big storm this weekend:

I am moving tomrrow morning instead of Sunday like I had planed.

There will be bribes of some sort(pizza, beer, virgin sacrifice, something) and many thanks for anyone foolish enough to show up.

Though it should be fairly painless, I am moving into a 1st floor apartment, no really I mean it=)

01:01 pm - Morse Code Saves the day
So as some of you know I am moving soon. Which pretty much makes my place a bit of a shambles as I pack.

At the same time my landlords are trying to repair things that are broken and what not so they can show it and find new tenants.

So one of the broken things is the handle ot my bathroom. Evidently when showing the apartment off this weekend my landlords removed the dangling handle so it wouldn't detract from the presentation. Which would be fine if I didn't find out about this small fact after i closed the door to take a shower this morning.

I then proceed to take my shower, I mean I was there anyway=)

Afterwards i search through the bathroom to find anything i can form a crude handle out of. Toothbrush not right size however and was the closet thign I could find.

Only other thing I could think of was rescue. So hoping my downstairs neighbor was still home, I start banging on the floor.

Figuring that if I wanted to let them know i am banging with purpose and not just being jerk i figure some rhythm would be good.(I have some, not much but some=)

So first rhythm up was "2 shaves and a haircut" I believe it is called. After a few minutes(like 10) of this, I realize that there was perhaps a more appropo message.

So I tried SOS. Well I tried some horrible bang on the floor version. Sitting in the bathroom trying to remember how it goes was fun. And what image is running through my brain to pull out the pattern for it? Was it some boy scout flashback where I am pretty sure I had to do it for some merit badge, no. Some ROTC trainig course, no. Communications course, no? sailing course, no. It was some cartoon from like the 40s or 50s, I want to say bugs bunny but am not sure. It was some wartime toon, with like a bunch of ships in the water sending out the SOS signal. The whole dee dee dot dot dee dee.

Then I had to scratch my head remembering whether the dees were short and the dots were long, or the reverse. Then figure out how to interpret that in bangs on the floor.
I am not 100% certain I figured out the correct interpretations, except that:

Like 3 minutes later, my neighbor Marcello yells from our adjoining door, " are you tapping morse code?"

"Thats the idea".

"i heard you banging earlier but figured you were moving somethign or other"

So he ended up breaking into my place and finding the handle on the other side of the door.

So for my clarificaiton : its 2 short, two long, two short?

Just curious if I remembered correctly or both me and Marcello's understnading was happily flawed the same way.

Want some racism lil girl?

O, well I guess you do.

Just seemed to fit in with all the other reports of stupidity in America today.

Now don't get me wrong I think they have every right to go on singing their songs. That way folk can tell them how stupid they are right out in the open.
